Exhibiting at a tradeshow can certainly be a daunting experience. As anyone who has attended a trade show knows, the atmosphere and sheer number of booths, exhibitors, and personnel can be overwhelming. Each exhibitor wants to create an engaging booth experience, knowing that there is limited time to capture the attention of event attendees.

Fortunately, with an understanding of tradeshow theory and human behaviours, matched with intentional design, trade show exhibiting can be a valuable marketing tool and well worth the time and energy it takes to host a successful booth space.

In this presentation, Tyler Massie from Design4Change will provide the do’s and don’t’s of creating an effective booth atmosphere, as well as strategies for goal setting in advance of trade show participation, and tips for remaining top of mind after the show has finished.

Tyler Massie, Design4Change

Tyler is the Managing Director of Design4Change, a boutique not-for-profit marketing agency located onsite at Mount Royal University that exists to provide meaningful employment experience to students on campus. Before joining this agency, Tyler established his career as an Account Manager for a regulatory oil and gas signage provider. In this capacity, he has successfully planned and executed over 50 tradeshow event experiences.

Tyler received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University with a major in Marketing. His areas of interest within this discipline include practices of emotional storytelling through brand development, visual communication through information design, and ethical practices of relationship management.
